About the Program

What is it?

Greening Grey Facilities is an initiative of the Aged Care Association Australia-NSW aimed at saving water and energy in aged care facilities. With funding assistance from the NSW Government’s Climate Change Fund, the program delivers innovative, on-the-ground water saving measures which make commercial sense.

Who is it for?

Greening Grey Facilities was conceived and designed by ACAA-NSW for their members and was subsequently expanded to members of the Aged and Community Services Association of NSW and ACT (ACS) to reflect the overall industry partnership approach to sustainability.

At this stage, the funding program is only available to those aged care facilities in Sydney Water’s area of operations (see the map here), but may be expanded in the future. Aged care operators are encouraged to register their interest with the Program.

Choose the package that suits you

Greening Grey Facilities has a number of packaged products capable of helping your organisation save water and energy.

Generally, the Program Technology Partners are available to help you identify measures which will help your facility reduce water and energy consumption. Funding assistance from the NSW Climate Change Fund will then be used to make the savings measures more economical.
